TAPU (Turkish Title Deed) is the official document that shows who owns immovable property.

The General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre issues it. The formal paperwork is only supplied to the property owner. People with rights other than property can not take this document.

For properties (flats) other than fields, land, gardens, and plots, a red form of title deed is issued. If the immovable property has more than one shareholder, a title deed document listing all shareholders or naming each partner individually is issued.

There are to types of turkish title deed. For those who buy property to apply for Turkish Citizenship would be receiving red title deed.
